The *Official* Eve Online Thread

They're on the market as F.O.F.

They're self targeting missiles.

The downside is they just shoot whatever hostile is closest so you have no choice but some DPS > No DPS.

Yeah you need to cycle your drones, if one gets aggro you pull it in to the drone bay, NPC's will aggro you or another drone.

Just recall the drone that is now getting damage and release the one you've just taken in and use it to attack.

You should always have 4 drones on the go with one in transit :)

well, got out of the WH and jumped the 28 jumps back to Isinokka, blew 100 mil on skill books and i've still got a hulk, domi, myrm and vex here.

I'll be staying in my WH corp for now as I am still trying to get reimbursement from my taken ships, however, any ocuk corpies need a hand with anything i'll be hanging in the OCUK channel as mnutzz. I might also get my second account online for the hauling and leadership bonuses :)

Just need to find my old links on mission running, market etc and look up info on incursions and creating planet bases.

Only ship I've ever had any luck with FOFs was oversized AB tengu :D could just burn on top of whatever I wanted to hit.

Just to repeat my offer from the chat channel.

Anyone just starting out who's struggling for isk, please give me a shout I'll sort you out.

Why? well the early days are hard, if your only income is missioning/mining then your isk/hr rate will be dire especially at low SP. When you have got some collateral to trade or money to set up some PI, your income can increase dramatically, and once you have a charecter skilled enough to undertake the more riskier piloting jobs your income will increase once again.

EVE now is a lot more isk abundant than it used to be, one of the reasons I left the game some years ago was the isk grind. In those days there weren't the same ways to earn and looking from one tier of ships to another could literaly be months of hard grind.

So to new players please don't struggle trying to grind Isk, let me know and I'll happily try and ease the transition from struggling to being comfortable and earning some isk yourself.

Hey Alphane, I need a new black ops bs, hook me up will you? I'm a noob, honest :D

Tell you what, cos I'm not sure it's entirely fair just handing you everything on a platter. You save up enough to pay half send me that isk and I'll double it :p

Ok, deal, but to raise the isk would you like to buy my Carb...er, Charon that I'm selling in Jita? :D

Direct trade only right?

It's the only really secure way you know, don't believe anyone that tells you diffrent, there probably just trying to scam you ;)

/Edit also am looking for anyone with a knowledge of industry to help me try and make a start at that aspect of the game

Only really secure way to trade is if you make out the private contract youself and do it right. Default trade window behavior is different to what you'd expect coming from any other mmo (unless they've changed that haven't used it in 2 years) and at one point (again not sure if its still like that) people found a way to inject code on their client that would let them manipulate some parts of the trade behavior - which is just wrong the server should always be authorative on things like that.

With the gallente and assault ship fixes and dram nerf I'm quite tempted to come back. not really played seriously suicne about 07 but on off since then. I seems CCP are really focusing on improving EVE again and thrashing out the bugs and imbalanced gameplay.

Still got a bunch of cash, some ships including a pimped vindicator and a 2nd account for trading/indy stuff.

Anyone in good low sec pirate corps that need a casual but experienced PvP player? Might be tempted to go 0.0 if anyone can recommend a fun allaince that does lots of smallish roaming rather than just sitting and waiting for massive fleets too.

Did my first incursion last night...in a Drake...the fleet were impressed by what they say was a 'Mega Tank' had a load of fun, shame I ran out of smokes half way through...and them ran out of ammo...Made a killing doing it and will do them more...really enjoying EvE again now. Just need a half decent corp to join.....

EVE is pretty dull for a while, I can see that, I'm training all my boring skills atm and I'm looking at at least 2 months before I can even begin to compete with people that have been playing a while, over a year to match my skills, but I can also see that it has potential to be a lot of fun.

If you die in other MMOs, who cares? You just run back to where you were and keep going, maybe repair your gear and continue. If you die in EVE, you lose your ship and everything on it, potentially losing implants etc if you get podkilled. That adds a sense of drama for me.

I'm still running lvl2 missions, but I wanna get PvPing ASAP (a few members of my corp are newbies and undertrained for PvP so we're not doing any yet) and feel that rush. Though I'm under no illusions my money will last very long once I start losing ships, especially as I'm aiming at inties.
