Do you cry at films?

Films are about the only things that do make me cry

Damn you Armageddon *Shakes Fist*

Affleck cries, then Liv, then Bruce, then the astronaut (whos real name escapes me) goes up to Liv and salutes the daughter of the bravest man hes ever met and then they have a wedding..... Seen that film a dozen times but the last 15minutes of it has always been misty

Funny. Whenever i think of that movie all I can hear is "GET THE BOOK, GET THE BOOK, GET THE BOOK".

When watching Forest Gump and he goes to his mothers grave, I didn't actually cry though.................I had something in my eye :(

Where to begin!

Up
Braveheart
Gladiator
Marley & Me (I'd lost 2 dogs in 6 months before I watched it, and fell to bits)
Click (never expected it to, but one bit is incredibly sad)

Don't generally tend to lose it too often, but ones that either (a) broke me or (b) had enough of an effect for somebody (usually the wife) to notice would be Marley & Me, The Green Mile, welled up at The Chumscrubber and blubbed like a little kid who'd been kicked in the balls at Seven Pounds.

I've had Grave of the Fireflies to watch since forever, but never manage to pull myself around to doing so.

Oh, almost forgot the scene involving Behrani's son in House of Sand and Fog. Ben Kingsley's wail of sheer grief there was so powerful it set me right off.

Didn't cry but the butterfly effect (directors cut naturally) did have the old windscreen wipers prepared for action.

These days I can feel myself welling up a little bit, but I am generally able to man up enough to stop the actual tear rolling down my face.

The worst ones for me are the animal sad bits in films, such as: Turner and Hooch, K9, I am Legend, etc. I haven't watched Marley and me yet, but I am aware of the ending and will probably never get around to seeing it in case my impenetrable man tear-rejection force field is penetrated!

The Green Mile,
Pearl Harbour????
The 3rd time I watched Titanic I cried????
Marley and Me a little bit.
Shindler's List

Some others too can't remember.

I once heard Sir John Gielgud describe himself as "emotionally incontinent", and I have to admit I've always been closer to that end of the spectrum than I'd prefer. A good sniffle can be quite satisfying if the movie or book deserves it, but getting moist over run-of-the-mill soppy stuff is a bit girly. And while women quite like a man to be in touch with his emotions, it's generally not a good idea to be more in touch with them than she is.

I learned my lesson a very long time ago when I took a girlfriend to see ET. I got sniffly, she got bored. :->

I suspect this kind of thing isn't something we have a lot of control over; it's just part of our particular brain chemistry. I certainly haven't found a way of bottling it all up successfully... and to be honest I'm not sure I'd want to. I'd just like the ability to turn it off temporarily in some situations. :-)

i'm an emotional wreck.... :(

well ok i'm not but i do find really corageous things moving i guess.

Although i admit i wet myself at the romantic first kiss in Drive - then 5s later he was stanping on a guys head in front of her.... luckily the rest of the audience in the cinema laughed as well - not sure if it was with me or at me but it was cool lol.
