You would be surprised especially in major city centres. It took me days last month to find one in London for example.

I stayed here when I had a car in Amsterdam. The parking isn't free and it depends on your definition of "central". The tram ride into the very centre of Amsterdam took less than 15 min.

Hotel83 has a very small parking area for one/two cars and thats in Centrum close to the Nieuwmarkt.
