I need to convert a VHS tape onto a DVD. I've looked on OCUK and don't see anything suitable for sale.

Checking on the net there is USB dongles to stream video into a PC, however reviews are mixed on these. The biggest issue appears to be the software and drivers supplied.

Can anyone recommend any product that should work. My system is Windows 7 64 ultimate so will need to be compatible with this.

Many thanks
Jason

If you have a number to do which my brother did. He ended up getting a vcr/ dvd combo unit and transfering them to dvd that way.

I only have one tape that needs converting, I did look at the vrc / dvd combo units but it appeared expensive for just one tape. I already have a couple of good quality VHS players from the early 90's.

Was really looking for one of the dongle / add in card converters.

isnt there a service you can send the tape to?

the only reason im suggesting this is that you only have the one tape to convert so it would be a waste buying hardware to do just one

I bought a USB capture device (around £12) to do this for a number of VHS tapes and they turned out very well, no problems with audio/video sync as I thought there might be...
