just started playing on the league table

5g in apple for a safe and slow rise- or massive gain upon ipad 3 announcement
5g into game for epic rollercoaster lols
 
Good start to the week down 2.3% overall mainly due to talking a hit with buying 7grands worth of shares in game going to be an interesting week hopefully they'll rally and I can punt with a quick profit
 
sitting stagnant today,

although a slight rise in apples share price has netted me a profit so far of $92 my game shares still sitting at a £260 loss(why i bought 50k shares in game i dont know :( and my gamble in severn trent on friday is showing me a small loss still :(


think i'll ride game out till i can get a decent profit i bought in at 6.5p a share so hopefully some news on a takeover or a new console will give them a much needed shot in the arm and give me some serious wonga, Apple are always going to be a long term gainer so they can stay where they are, If they dip at any point I might buy some more if i have free cash. Severn trent was a whim as they took a loss on friday so i bought a pile. I'll hold on for a quick buck and bail

my moneys staying in my isa :)

no way would i trust myself to plough it into loads of shares. then again if in 6 months time i'm turning profit I may be tempted to drop a couple of grand in, after i get a basic grasp of it using monopoly money

Put money into Intel as they are rumoured to be breaking further into the mobile device processor market.

Let's see how it goes ;)

Still taking a heavy loss on game shares why the heck did I buy 45k shares in them I'm a nugget Im down 400 quid on that trade :( really was hoping for a strong vita launch of new console announcement to give them a shot in the arm and
E a quick bit of cash still time I suppose :) made a few quid on apple though with a $12 a share increase in a week but I only have 15 shares in apple (bought at $502 a share ) going to hold onto these as I think the ipad3 frenzy will see these go up quite a bit yet
 
Signed up, bought mostly shares in apple, Tesco and arm, I'll probably loose some money but it's a nice way of getting your toes wet :)

jesus i'm taking a beating on game shares :(

lost £500 quid in a week on my 45k shares in game, although my 15 shares in apple have gained me a whopping $263 in the same time frame

Anyone know how long the league runs for ?

Can we share the portfolio (and valuation) through any sort of public link ?
 
Problem with these things is that winning isn't down to skill but rather luck. Skilful selection/analysis will only get you modest returns at best and no where near winning. Crazy punts, big risks and being lucky enough for them to pay off is what will win. The winner will have some crazy % return.
 
im rubbish at these, had an ap for my phone and made $80000 then lost most of it a week later lol. good job its just a game.
