SW:TOR which card?

Hi,
My sister plays swtor with a geforce 460 @ 1650x1050 and it runs everything on high, but she does say it runs better on her bf's 6870..i'd go for the best you can afford to,but both are viable for decent gameplay, pvp can be laggy but I think thats the games/bioware's issue more so. Illum is a joke to say the least lol.

I mostly pvp so that's where I want the most performance. Think I'm leaning towards a 6950 or The 7870 if that turns out any good.

Not sure how the rest of your system is composed but don't rule out an SSD. Like many MMO's (WoW, and Rift to name two others), the game benefits quite a bit from improved system drive I/O both in terms of load times and in-game performance. Guild Wars 2 and Tera probably also have similar performance bottlenecks. It may well be worth compromising your choice of graphics card *slightly* to fit a decent SSD into your budget.

Friend plays the game with a 560 Ti with no problems on 1920x1080. Should be fine if you don't put on silly detail levels.

i get over 100 fps at 1080p everything maxed with my clocked 5850. The graphics are still horrible though.

Got a SSD the loading screens in SW:TOR are insane.

+1 for 6870. I have an i5 2500k@ 4.5ghz with a 6870 and my FPS rarely deviates from 60 in SW:TOR on max settings with AA maxed as well.

In the Imperial Fleet it's a bit painful though on occasion :-(

How much do you want to spend? 560ti is a good bet if you want to spend a little more.
