Video Game Raging = Personal Experiences

I'd agree with that. BF3 is a perfect example of how a good experience in a game can be ruined by a few people. People cheating or glitching to give their side an unfair advantage really winds me up. I'm more inclined to calm down and stay on the server though with good admin present.

I have no issues with losing at something fair and square and on equal terms, yet when the scale is tipped in someones favour due to cheating, the sportsman side of me comes rushing out and I go mental :D

Agreed - a hacker ruined a perfectly good match last night. What made it worse was that he was on my team, I couldn't TK him, and there were no admins about.
The best I could do was stand in front of him to block his view, or stand in doorways to stop him moving around.

The compounding of the rage is that, as far as I know, EA either ignore it or are doing little about it. Worst thing I've heard of is a stat-wipe, but what harm is that to someone using hacks? Every shot is a kill, whatever gun they're using!

I heard EA had done a lot of work on banishing hackers from the games. Though they seem more worried about people 'stealing' their games, rather than those ruining them.

Swear if some of the people I play with/against were within arms reach, they'd be getting banged out.

********* in BF3 that take vehicles at the start of a map and don't wait for other team members to jump on board. Made even worse on large maps where it takes you best part of 3-5 mins to get any where decent by foot.

They should have their hands cut off, therefore rendering them unable to play games ever again, selfish *****.

Most of the time I get angry at myself rather than the game because of something stupid I did. Although when I do nerd rage at someone else it's because they did something extremely annoying or not in the spirit of the game (so to speak), but it's more a real life rage where I'll swear at the screen, it'd be extremely rare for me to actually type or use voice chat to rage at someone in game.

Examples of why I rage at / in a game would be people who...

persistently spawn camp the other team
gimp their team as they care more about their stats (like k/d ratio)
rage at someone else for a very minor reason (like missing an easy shot)
help the other team, such as telling them our positions or using stuff that hinders us somehow (i.e. team flash bang in CS)

I guess the more common times I've raged over voice chat or by typing would be when leading raids in World of Warcraft. When you issue commands, then you ask "does everyone understand? if you are even 1% unsure then ask", then you go fight a boss and half the raid doesn't understand, but didn't ask.

It does seem to be other player ruining the experience, do you thinking the celevopers should do something?

Or is it just part and parcel of the game.

I haven't raged at BF3, I moan a bit and get annoyed at some of the stupid stuff that goes on put never more than that (although I have only been playing less than a week :D)

Now League of Legends, that is a game that I'm either loving, or raging like a *****. I broke my last mouse playing LoL, but i've calmed down a bit now and dont take my rage out on my peripherals as they cost a fair chunk more than my £30 wireless keyboard/mouse combo I was using. I still rage hard at the game but now its just verbal abuse at the monitor or moaning on TS.

^ wow!

Anyway. Other games people rage at?

Ive noticed, ive never raged at skyrim, played it more than any other game too.

yeah same here, there is still some b's' with the bugs and stuff but they are mainly enjoyable to watch. i don't rage at skyrim much at all, although it does annoy me when an ancient dragon swoops down and gulps me up when i have more than 50% of health with armour rating over 400, or if they dragon were to fly beyond it's limits in the air or if any enemies shoot at your cover and still manage to take you down.

i reckon that developers should do something about the main complaints we all have such as:
- making us spawn in an empty area instead of right next to the enemy (e.g. bf3)
- staying on one spot too long/camping (20 seconds or something) is an automatic death penalty/suicide
- open a bloody server, it stops lag and there won't need to be a childish host at the other end restarting or ending a game.

Most games in one way or another make me rage.

Leauge of Legends - When the team im with just keeping dying and making the other team stronger or act like they are the be all and end all when they are crap.

BF3 - When i run behind a wall and still die because of the stupid netcode, hence why i haven't played in a while.
