Tarot card experience

TL;DR - had my cards read. Was unusually specific, directly relating to an event in my life involving two women. These women had their cards read and their readings alluded to this event too.

I'm not superstituous at all. Usually I just dismiss them as being vague and generalised to the point where they can appear to be true by adapting them to any situation in ones life.

Yet I had a very weird experience yesterday with them. Was with a group of mates and one of them had a pack and was able to interpret them so we did it for jokes. Mine was unbelievably specific.

My reading was that I was currently conflicted with a choice (which is true, but most people are). The cards said that this choice was a short term choice, and it involved choosing two paths, each leading to two different women. The cards also said that I had been thinking for a long time about this choice (which I have). This again is true, I have a situation in my life where I have to choose between two women, and it needs to be done within the next month. The cards also said that I was obsessed with one of these women, and that this obsession was unhealthy . Apparently I have to use all my intelligence and wit to solve the situation, and of the two paths, I am currently on the wrong one.

Now it just so happens that both women also had theirs done. Theirs are more general than mine (meaning I would usually discount the whole thing as being complete BS, but given my own reading, I attached more importance to it)

Girl 1 (the one I'm apparently obsessed with): the reading concerned one of her endeavours in the near future. Apparently she could be successful in this endeavour, but she had to resist a particular male, who would attempt to assert himself upon her. If she was able to resist this male, she would succeed in the endeavour, otherwise she would fail.

Girl 2: Her cards said she had a concern about her and a male. And that in order to have a successful outcome, she would have to directly approach this male and be honest with him. If not, she would remain unhappy for a long time. (there was some other stuff but I can't remember)

The guy who was reading the cards had absolutely no idea about the dichotomy that I'm currently facing.

I still maintain that all this complete bs, especially due to the vague nature of both female's predictions. I feel that in general these things are enginereed to be as relateable as possible to anyone's lives, but the unusually specific nature of my cards struck me as being interesting nonetheless (it was completely true, apart from the obsession part. I think.). This 'choice' between two women has been weighing on my mind for weeks, and in fact it could potentially involve someone else. I guess I'll have to convince that person to get their cards read tonight to see if anything interesting turns up :p

I still think it's pure coincidence but both girls are freaked out by the experience :D

Has anyone else had any weird experiences with this sort of thing?

In before 'cool story bro', 'smash her pasty' etc

You say the guy who read the cards is a mate? If that's the case then it's all bs as he knows you so can relate the cards to things he knows about you.

Did you all go together? Also, choose girl number 2.

Girl number 1 went first, then a few other people, then me, then girl 2

cool pasty smash bro

LOL :D

He was a mate, but he doesn't know anything about the situation I'm in at the moment, and doesn't really know much about me, see what I wrote in the OP:

OP, according to your profile you're 17...no wonder really that you're conflicted between two women or that you are obsessing over one...irritating things hormones!

Still sound very generic to me I'm afraid.

This is the failure of your logic here, a lot of men seem to be under the dillusion even though they know what there mates are thinking and feeling ... there own 'poker face' is perfect and no-one has a clue whats going on in there head. Of course your mate at least suspects your into those girls, the girls may be aware of it too.

That is assuming I have read the story right and the reader is one of your circle of friends.

The Tarot is a whole diffrent discussion

I used the word mate, but I suppose that was just to tell the story easier. I'd say the guy is more of an aquaintence than a friend. I rarely speak to him, and when I do it's only small talk.

I wouldn't say I had a poker face, but during the evening I wasn't really looking at the girls. I was looking only at the table, and when the guy was reading my cards, I was looking at him.

I'm gobsmacked.
I've always considered you to be one of our most sensible posters while being one of our youngest and now you're talking about Tarot Cards.
Hang your head in shame.
What next - Lizard People?
This.

Tarot cards are for idiots. (no offence)

:(

Nothing wrong with talking about them surely?

Not that I believe in them. Was just for a laugh, but it turned out it wasn't funny. Also see here:

Fair enough,

But you did feel the need to write a 555 word post about a tarot card experience.

OMG ... 555 - it's almost 666 ..... <Put's on his tinfoil hat>
