Who is OCUk's Oldest Gamer?

I'll go into the 30 category.

I started gaming in 1990 on my Master System II which i got for Christmas with Alex Kidd built in.

So that is about 22 years of gaming.

It was in Boots I got my Spectrum and a Boots own brand cassette player/recorder. Later changed the cassette player to a Sanyo one as the Boots one had problems with the "high speed" loaders when they were brought out. Bit hazy if "high speed" is actually the correct term but they were meant to be a piracy deterrent.

Wow the memories :)

I used to get my Commodore 64 and Speccy games from Boots. It was around 1987 and I used to pop down to the store in Chatham Kent in my lunch hour on pay day and pick a couple up. (£10 a game back then)
They had a big section too with all the comps and accessories on display.

44 next week.

Good to see so many 40+ gamers here.. :)

I never realised that Zefan was older than me.. I thought he was in his 20s..

I'm not sure where this rumour about me being 44+ started, but I've got to admit I kinda like it. It'll be awesome in 20 years when I'm somehow still the same age!

41, cut my teeth gaming on a ZX81, ZX Spectrum,Acorn Electron, BBC B,B+ & Master 128, Atari 1040 ST, PS1 PS2 & then PC's. :)

Typo on opening post ?

You don't done wanna be 44 mate. Pressing wrong buttons and bits falling off your hardware. Then there's the PC of course :D
