as per title really, i have an m4 ssd as boot and a 2tb baracuda, ive put in my 750gb 2.5 inch hdd from my laptop in so i can transfer contents over to new drive only problem is windows dosent see it(2tb drive) but seems my m4 and 750 gb laptop drive. bios does though. what can i do ?

Goto Admin tools/disk management and right click and format/assign the drive.

You should see the 2TB HDD as a shaded area.

cheers guys, how do i get to this, put it in start bar only defrag and cleanup come up, is it in device manager ? if you mean the right clock on the icon in my computer, it dosent show up there

Its in Control panel.

done it its in there, it said 100mb was allocated to a partition and 1800 odd was unallocated, i formatted but its only formatted the 100mb

i think im gonna have to install windows again with the hdd out of the system unless theres another way

i click it but it dosent show any option to format like it should up to and right clicking dosent do anything either, it appears 100mb is reseved for system for some kind of master boot record

also if worth noting connecting phone dosent recognise either, use to be pnp mass storage, dosent even recognise any device.

Is the phone connected via USB cable? if its plugged into a USB3.0 port then you will want to install USB3.0 drivers.
