PVP is basically the same skillset. I wouldn't bother branching these out into separate chars. Same for incursions really.
Unless you mean like logistics.
Those things all have lots of complimentary skills so the SP for doing one is soon also the SP for doing another. I could do all of those with my main PVP char and that is a pretty focussed char (perfect subcap combat ship skills). You might end up crosstraining a couple of races, but again that doesn't represent different specialities, just more like the general things you train a combat ship char for.
Industry and Research is a very alt thing to do.
Characters with pure industry SP sell good too so you can train alts up and flip them for more ISK than you paid in subscriptions in a couple of months time.

How I went about alting....
My main character is a jack of all trades really. Cruiser 5 for all but Caldari, BS5 for both Amarr and Caldari. T2 weaponry for all medium sized ships aside from HML and Railguns, large T2 lasers. Both shield and armour skills. No real leadership skills beyond the basics and only average drone and logistics skills. Primarily flying gunships and able to fly Recons, HACs and Command Ships - so pretty much anything I want in order to have some fun
With my Alt I started off as something that could semi afk missions (Drake!) and worked up from there into a Tengu, only training the specific prerequisites I needed for the ships I wanted. Almost pure Caldari, just a small bit of Minmitar so she can fly a Torp Typhoon. No gunnery skills whatsoever but decent drone, logistics skills and gang boost leadership skills. No HACs (Caldari ones suck for what I want) and only able to fly a Vulture for gangboosting. Far more specialised than my main due to sticking with just missiles and Caldari ships.
On the whole they complement each other pretty well, gives me a range of things I can do without having to go fully jack of all trades/master of none on a single character!

Or put your collateral into investments so you can't get at it, like a bond or something, I've heard 'Scouse bonding and hubcaps inc,' are a very reliable and trustworthy group

been out of the game for a while, just left my old corp, does OCuk have a corp? need to ease back in slowly before trying any PVP or anything.
I used to just mission before which drove me to ending the game, far too boring, any activities that should be worth doing? wormholes? mass pvp?

ocuk has a corp, runs out of isanamo (and used to be isikano but not too sure now).
I've come out of WH to isikano to help the corp out for a bit before I rejoin

Navy Scorp and Rattlesnake aren't really good ships for Incursions, will be hard to find a (good) fleet with those.
Love the look though. I use my mega tanked drake for now, Annie and Kaylen helped me make it
