Read title and no more, I don't see why the outrage, thieves are rife and it doesn't matter that she is currently very Ill. It could have happened when she was well and at work. It's not really even news as every society has burglars.

That sucks, thieves are scum but they probably didn't have a clue about your mum's (? I'm guessing here) situation so it's not stooping any lower than they usually do.

If you're looking for a replacement for her machine then go into General Hardware and give the guys in there an idea of what the computer will be used for and they'll sort you out

As said the theives didn't know she had cancer, they just preyed on a house and hoped for the best at their end.
If they purporsely knew she had the big C then yes they are "lowest of the low" Headline for the sake of a headline.
