Hey guys, I have just bought the Asus K53SD on e-bay brand new for £670.

It has been delivered from United States.

Specs:

Intel 2nd Generation Quad Core i7-2670QM (2.20GHz) Processor

15.6" HD 16:9 (1366 x 768) LED Display

6GB DDR3 1333MHz Memory

750GB Hard Drive

DVD Super Multi Drive

NVIDIA GeForce GT 610M 2GB GDDR3 Graphics Card

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

HDMI & USB 3.0 Ready

I just wanted to know for sure if i can play all of the latest games in either ultra or high settings?

Also, because i bought it from USA is it only the plug that will be different? Or will i have to change anything else?

Keyboard will be different I think. I guess you will need to pay import duty as well. Warranty may be an issue also.

Looks a nice spec laptop though.

Edit:

You can buy this laptop for less from UK suppliers. Why ebay and from the US?

This (USA layout keyboard pita and add on an additional 25% of duty and fees to the cost as coming from the states you will 99.9% get hit with it)

and

610M, latest games in ultra?

No.

This,,,,,.......

Be lucky if you can play the latest games on low with that card (effectively a GT520m)

Having the @ and " keys physically in different locations is hardly a PITA especially when you can still set it to UK layout and keep things normal.

GFX though, sucky bum bum

Wow! That will be approximately £850 with customs. You could get hell of a lot better laptop in the UK for that.

Exactly.

Infact from a certain manufacturer's outlet, you could have had an XPS L702x, with a full 3D 1080p display (yes, 3D, including glasses).

Have you actually got it at your home now, delivered and duty paid?

$670 is about £422 but depending on your CC or PayPal charge could end up being £450?
