Range Rover Evoque Convertible

Like the current Evoque, it's a birds car. A drop top might well appeal to them. But if a bloke owned one then I'd guess there was a pair of scissors in the glove box.

I cannot think of a more realistic canal boat simulation than one of these with a 2 litre diesel engine in it.

LOCKS COMING UP!

A4 tdi cabriolet ................ so bland it hurts

Doesn't look great, looks like some sort of amphibious vehicle, normal evoque looks great to me, so don't know how they've managed to make it look so bad, be interesting to see what it looks like with the roof up.

I actually quite like it...... though I dont think I would ever buy one. I would be interested to know what it offers in the way of roll over protection though.

As sad as it is it's actually something I looked into before purchasing my MX-5, I cant say I was thrilled to find out the windscreen surround cant take the weight of the car so if you do flip it you are literally screwed, but I was rather glad to see that the probability of flipping an MX-5 is ridiculously low due to the low centre of mavity.

Looking at the picture of that Evoque I think it's fair to assume there is no way that windscreen could support the weight of the car if you rolled it, and its centre of mavity must be so much higher than most other convertibles I wonder how much higher the probability of it toppling over in an awkward crash is! I guess pop up roll over bars will be about somewhere, and perhaps I'm over analysing it but that alone would put me off.

Oh god. I like that. I don't know why, but I do.

I feel dirty - not in a good way. Like I should be washing my eyes with bleach.

Defenders are the only good Land Rovers these days. Range Rovers, although they can cope off road (compared to the civilian Hummer) how many footballers would want to put a scratch on their 50k car? Defenders on the other than look better covered in mud

The new RR Evoques looks horrible anyway, there wasn't anything wrong with the old RR Sport or the L322

why oh why do people keep referring to RR Sport or RR in the same conversation as the evouqe.
It is a completely different vehicle and in no way, shape, or form was it ever intended to compete or replace RR's other models. How pointless would that be.
As for the convertible its not my cup of tea but someone will buy them.

They come under the "Range Rover" name, thus they are comparable....

e.g. which Range Rover would you have and why?

How pointless would that be

They release new versions of cars every year, so.....not very?

Nothing.... thats why they are still for sale. The Evoque is a different market with a different price point.

Well the RR will soon be the 'Old' RR ;)

Land Rover have split their 'range' into two:

Land Rover: Defender, Freelander, Discovery (i.e. more utility-focused vehicles)

Range Rover: Evoque, Sport, Range Rover (i.e. more luxury-focused vehicles)

Comparing the Evoque to it's big brothers is like comparing a 3-series to a 5 series. It's not a replacement! :p
