Guys hope you can help trying to fill bleed my system never done water cooling before. I've got a 240 sr1 rad that's leaking from BOTH terminals...I'm using ek compression fightings and they are done up tight.

What do I do?! Drain the lot?? I'm very worried its all brand new.

I would drain the loop. Take out the fittings. Put some special water in there, tip it up get rid of it. Re-Put the fittings in. Refil, re-empty. If it does the same then more than likely the thingys are stripped.

How tight you do it?

Where exactly is it leaking? between rad and fitting? between fitting and tube? from rad itself?

A picture would be fantastic ...., with some arrows :)

Between the rad and both (?!)compression fittings . I could take a photo and email it on my phone :( god sake majorly gutted right now!

check that the rubber seals are intact on the compression fittings ie not cracked etc
check that you have not overtightened the compression fittings

^^ - rubber seals can be replaced, if they are causing the problem - and over tightening - I hope you didn't use anything but your hands to tighten them.

The chances are perhaps the rubber seals are insufficient to form a seal - don't panic sounds like a minor issue, some people screw into their rad's  - now thats something to cry about.

Turn it off - it's too late to be looking at it right now, very easy to be hasty - start tomorrow fresh AM after a fully breaky :)

I removed the whole lot and tried to set up a loop in the bathroom with different fittings. Doesn't seem to leak now. Will put it back in the case tomorrow and try again. Bloody pain in the arse :( today has been a bad day so far.

It was a bad day Ocuk sent my monitor to the wrong guy (ho hum) then all this!!

Note the time gents but oh yes it's looking sweet:D

Took it all apart refitted everything put some 90 degree angles on the tad which have a slightly longer thread and no leaks!!

Can hear water trickling in the rads now and then though but does seem to be getting quieter?

It will be bleeding. Give it a few days and it will be silent unless there is a bubble trapped. In which case tilt your case with the pump running for a while.

I think you answered your own question in the first line quote "I'm using ek compression fightings and they are done up tight. "

You have them done up tight. If you compress a rubber seal to much it becomes in effective. when you tighten a barb up that has a rubber seal they should be finger tight. if you compress the rubber to much not only does it miss shape it all loses its ability to stop leaks.

A little advise use a silicone based liquid and rub it around the O-Ring before you start this will help it ease it into place when screwing in your barb. Never use any tools to do this. By using a silicone based lubricant not only will it help get a much better seal it will all so prolong the life of the O-Ring.

A good product to use here in the uk is Draper 41923 400ml and its £3.00 a can. this will do hundreds of O-rings and seals. Once you put some on wipe off the access btw you only need a very small amount on the O-ring.

its funny you should mention silicone lubricant as that was what i was thinking a couple of days ago and i have mountains of the stuff as i used to speed-solve the rubiks cube and the lube of choice was spray silicone and there were lots of debates about which brand was best etc :D

hehe well i presume some one will come up with some thing better but this does the trick very well and if you really wanted to get some expensive good stuff you could all ways go to a surfboard shop and pay upwards of £25.00 a small can of some thing over the top.

If you after some thing really cheap and you dont care go to a sex shop and pick up some better stuff cheaper.

Yeh why not "Liquid Silk" is a really good product that works dammed well.

Quote "Bodywise Liquid Silk Lubricant. Liquid Silk is an organic, non-tacky, non-sticky, non-staining and water-based personal lubricant. "Deleted" Liquid silk is a condom safe lubricant and one of the best for all "deleted" (especially ones which contain silicone). Unlike many other personal lubricants, Liquid Silk does not contain any glycerin. Liquid Silk is also formulated to be bio-static, stopping bacteria and yeast transmissions. Available in two sizes: 50ml and 250ml ... Other wise know as it has its own biocide ;) Price £3.00 a bottle and it works a treat ...... Science Don't you love it ...
