Hi there.

Thinking of popping over the Bruges with the mrs next weekend, booking through lastminute.

Just thought i'd double check something, the eurostar says depart from London pancreas - arrive at Brussels Midi.

Obviously this isn't Bruges, but was wondering if it including tickets for getting to Bruges, or if we'd have to pay for them separately when we got there?

Also, how long does the Eurostar check in take, train is due to leave at 9, when should be get there?

Any help would be great!

Been there and its a nice town. Loved the log fires in the pubs and dark leffe on tap, with a side of ribs. If you like your chocolate its the place to be.

You can travel to bruges and back on the same ticket, just pick any belgian station

Visit the chocolate line, it's the best chocolatier in the city

Visit Staminee De Garre - have a try of their beer on tap, it's powerful stuff

If you like good restaurants, see if you can get a booking at Hertog Jan - it might be tricky now it's a 3* though

If you arrive at the euro tunnel early you often get to go on an earlier crossing so it is often worth getting there early.

Enjoy the beer.

He's not going on Euro Tunnel he's going Eurostar from St Pancras. You won't get on anything but the booked train unless you have a very flexible full fare ticket.

I did this last year and at the time any ticket to Brussels was automatically valid to any Belgian station. This isnt the case now - you must select any Belgian station and pay a bit extra.

The train from Brussels to Bruge takes about an hour.

I'd advise not asking for directions to London St Pancreas, you'll get laughed at. :P

Bruges- Quite nice to look at but incredibly boring and Belgians are very rude in general in my experience. (I work in Brussels every other week before anyone jumps on my back).

Anyway, yes you have to pay a bit extra to go to Bruges.

Assuming your train leaves at 9:00 AM (Actually it will be the 8:57) I would get there at about 8-ish to be safe as the queues can vary from nothing to massive....

Top tip: Go through the Business Premier check- in. They very very rarely check your tickets and I am very sure your ticket will scan through the barriers. You'll skip the (sometimes long) security queues. :)
