Good pictures, makes you think.
I think it's important that the camps, and the places of 'interest' are kept in good repair and preserved. It's important for us to remember the people that were harmed, as well as the people who did the harming and how it all came about.
Only be accepting it, and looking at the whole evilness of it can we ensure that it doesn't happen in Western Europe again.

The saddest thing on those photos to me is the amount of people smiling.
I think some of the pictures are of them being liberated which is something to smile about...
Perhaps read the captions and who actually took the original Photographs next time, because they most certainly weren't.
I don't deny it but I have Jewish friends and they are speculative of the numbers. No doubt it was a huge crime but it didn't just involve Jews and the numbers do not add up.
Whoops that's what I get for skim reading it half asleep, the final photo looks similar to a photo from 1945 of liberation of a camp.
No one said it didn't just involve Jews.
There is plenty of information out there about the persecution of Gypsies, Homosexuals, Poles, Slovacs, Mentally/Phyiscally ill amongst others.

No more or less astonishing than what took place in the war and the conduct of future generation can in no way diminish the horrors that were afforded the previous one.
This thread was clearly started to discuss the amazing images linked on the BBC website not to sparc a political debate about the middle east of course feel free to start a thread on that should you wish allthough I suspect it will end up a terrible mess (much like the real world situation) and get locked.
Back on topic, Moving images the first in particular is beautifully executed.
but they do...the nazis were excellent record keepers...good old german efficiancy, even when killing millions!
