I have one of these and another one on order. I will be using 1 in each loop.
The great thing about MCP35x2 is that you have a lot of flexibility and control and with the right monitoring tools like the aquaero 5 xt have a lot of data to play with to optimize cooling.
I currently leave it on 30% power by default which gives a flow rate of 0.8 - 1gpm on my GPU SLI loop which is completely silent and both pumps run cool.
When the cards are stressed, the pump increases to 40% power which increases the flow to 1.4 gpm and is still very much silent and the pumps remain cool.
using one pump I believe, you would have to run it on 45% idle and 60+% stressed to achieve the same results, which would require a fan and heat sink to keep the pump cool, and of course would run a lot louder.
These pumps are also great because they take little space unlike the MCP655 + res.
My advice would be, If you like complete control over your loop get this. If you want a set it and forget it type config, the MCP 655 is for you.
