Been given a SuperHub on Thursday. Got it set up and everything. But for some reason it feels sluggish. My old Modem/Dlink setup was better and stable.

Tried playing online a few times and it lags like hell. Even though i got a ping off 25ish

Is there some sort of settings i can go through that i can do that might help?

Thanks

Right just disabled them two options.

Btw im only on 10Mb But next month i get upgraded to 30MB hence why i was given a SuperHub

Looks like im having packet loss... Anything else i can do? Or should i just go back to my old set up?

Try testing from newbury vodafone server and see if you get the same pings. Also post your power levels.

Poor SNR, high utilisation or a faulty hub can cause packet loss other than the users pc.

Also try disabling your security software briefly to test.

Failing that try your Dlink with your superhub in modem mode

Power levels are not bad. Downstream is on the high side but not above the threshold. High power levels would not cause your issue anyway. Upstream is near perfect.

If it doesn't work any better in modem only mode it could be an issue with DOCSIS 3 in your area or a faulty modem. Your old modem would have used DOCSIS 1.

Call VM and get a technician visit dude as im out of ideas. I presume you are cabled in

The best thing to do with the SuperHub is to put it in modem mode and hook it up to a better router.

That's how I've done it because the SuberHub is crap.

The router I've hooked it up to is a Belkin N1 wireless router I bought a couple of years ago. Works a charm.

There is one problem though, the speed degrades. I pay for 30MB but wirelessly through the SuperHub I get about 20MB. It's OK for me though because I only use wireless for mobile devices e.g. iPhone, iPad.

For downloading and main Internet usage I use my computer which is hooked up via ethernet to the SuberHub.

You should see any slowdown like that especially not with wireless-n. My laptop connects directly to my superhub and that sees >40Mb/sec. I have a wrt54g as well for devices that aren't n-compatible and that will manage 30mb/sec and thats 54g!

To rule out the super hub I would just use it in modem mode. I picked up a dir 615 for 9 quid off the net and havent looked back since!

Do i have to put it in modem mode and thats it? Dont need to click on anything else?

*edit* just googled it.
