Citroen Xsara Picasso - tell me about it?

Bit of a bump as the timing of this thread is quite fortuitous; I had a text from my dad last night, saying his car was hit while he was parked up on the road at a local football match. He came out of the match to find a lot of blue flashing lights and the Picasso in three seperate pieces across the road. Apparently a drunk driver had come up the road around the corner, lost control and smashed into him, shunting him forward. Three other cars were also damaged.

His car is a complete write off. He couldn't be happier

That's not really selling it to me!!

I've also been looking at Zafiras and Scenics, and possibly Octavia estates, really not sure about this one - although the Picasso is still looking like the cheapest option.

Interesting to know the 2.0hdi doesn't have a DMF or Particulate filter. So less to go wrong in terms of expensive bits.

Seems though the 2.0HDI models only go up to 2005 plates. But im guessing that's the kind of age/price range you would be looking at
