New 2D HD Sonic coming in 2010

Wow, I've spent more time trying to defeat the last boss than I did on all 4 zones.
First time I've felt like smashing my controller in years! I'm mad but kinda happy at the same time.

I loved it, now going through Sonic Colours on the Wii which seems good so far.
I also thought it was very good
It Isn't "Classic" Sonic as such but it isn't terrible either, if your a fan of Sonic games I would highly suggest picking it up.
Time for a bump as Ep2 information is starting to release.
Main Villian is Metal Sonic.
Tails is back as the sidekick as well.

Sweet "Spring 2012" this game looks like Sonic 3 HD judging by the levels on show. I loved Sonic 4 so this will be a day one purchase.

Episode 1 was a lot better than I expected. Got a lot of hours play from me. Looking forward to this!
I never understood the love for Generations. Sure, Sonic 4 isn't perfect but it's miles better than Generations. It doesn't have the 3D parts for one, or the stupid key collecting, or the crap storyline and irritating woodland critters.
And trust me, as someone who still puts in several hours a week still playing the classics (got them on my phone and they get a LOT of use) I think i'd be best placed to judge, no offence intended to others.

If so you're in no place to judge, Sonic Generations was a decent game the 3D parts weren't that bad.

Pretty arrogant indeed.
If saying Generations has a crap storyline, as if Sonic 4 is any better since it is just the same classic plot all over again. Not that I would complain about it, but that is also the truth.

There are no Sonic games with a good storyline. Sonic 4 does the sensible thing and just doesn't bother trying.
And yep, I play them on an iPhone, and my Macbook, and Steam, depends where I am at the time really.
I just don't understand how you can take the same 3D Sonic game, make half the levels 2D (and not particularly great at that) and people instantly love it. Bizarre.

I want to know what Sega have spent the past 18 months doing, because the physics feel exactly the same. Curl into a ball, you still stop. You still have no momentum on the ground or in the air.
I'm wondering if they've messed something up because the engine is utterly identical.
Still, it's reasonably good fun, but sadly it's not going to trump Diablo III so i'm off back to play that.
