Just spoke to T-Mobile and the helpful bloke recommended i ring back on the day my contract officially ends so he can give me a better deal as i want to keep the same phone.

So, what should i be expecting when they ring me back in a couple of weeks? I am currently on Plan 40 18 months (1200mins, 500 texts and unlimited data) which is £34.04 a month.

I somehow seem to always go over this...what should i be seeking? Am i already on a decent plan for the price?

You use more than 1200mins a month? What are you....a woman?
Don't bank on too much customer loyalty, phone providers don't seem to be too hot on it.
I've been with VF for over 13 years now and they suck balls. I've requested the PAC cpdes for both my lines in an attempt to scare them into offering me something decent, but they won't, so off i go.

Good luck for you though, but don't hold your breath.

Looking at my plan, i don't use all 1200 minutes whoops. :o

It's the texts i am going over on. Hmmm.

Okay, noted regarding just how good the discount is...even something like a £10 deduction with more texts and less minutes will be good enough.

Texts cost near to nothing for a phone provider, so you should be able to get unlimited texts with ease, especially on a £35/month contract!!

I've been with Tmobile for almost 3 years now and i pay £7.50 for 600min 500 text 1gb Internet and 1 free booster of my choice (Landlines i have at the mo)

And thats a Sim only deal.

Just get Whatsapp (and your freinds) and it will save you a shed load when communicating by text.

Same happened to me.

Just phone them and you can get it back.

You doing it wrong. I have been with voda for 4 years (maybe 5) and my contract has come down from £40 to £10 for the same things.

In fact my last bill was only 57p due to various discounts and things :D

Naah... my beef with VF is bigger than that mate. I wanted a freee iphone 4s with same contract as i'm on now for £31pcm. They said they couldn't go below £41pcm. Yet other companies offer what i've asked for......on the vf network!
Go figure that one. I've rang, emailed and written a letter all detailing my 13 years of loyal custom. Where has it got me? I received my PAC codes. They simply do not give a toss about customer retention.

Think that just the way things work with the iphone. The phone companies have very little, if any, leverage on them. You could have probs got any other phone for free on a cheaper contract. :(

Yeah, but if 3rd party companies can do it, who still need to pay the netowrk providers AND make some margin, then why can't the big boys?

giffgaff. I've had no problems with them.

No contract ties, £10/month, 250mins, unlimited texts, and truly unlimited data. Bloomin marvelous! They use the O2 network, I'm north Bristol and get constant HPSA+ signal (or w/e it's called).
