I cant remember the last time I was so excited to see a film.
They have Iron Man, Hulk and Thor on the same team and they are saying that they are outgunned. I really need to see how powerful the enemy is, as I can't understand how any enemy is capable of going toe to toe with The Hulk, let alone Stark and Thor.
The only thing that makes sense is that they have dumbed down Hulk and Thor considerably, to allow them to be more vulnerable.
Conceivably, Hulk should be able to deal with the enemy on his own. It may take him a year or so, but he could destroy 1 ship at a time, until the enemy runs out of ships and no longer has any weapons. At this point the human military can mop up the aliens.
The cost of this film must be astronomical.

$220+ million, certainly not cheap!

Well not really, they're saying they're outgunned (as in the regular military) so they progress the avengers initiative.
That would make more sense.
Though, I can't help feeling that Sam L.Jackson was referring to his Avengers team. But anyway, when we watch the movie, we shall find out.

Wow that last trailer has a lot of new stuff in it - looking EPIC!
Every time I see Scarlett Johansson in that group shot at the end of the trailer reloading her handgun it just seems so pointless but hey she has to do something (other than being eye candy alone) ...

I think Scarlett is taking role of the females in Transformers. Basically, the eye candy idea, works and helps put bums on seats (as proven by Transformers movies). The teenage boys evidently are prepared to pay money to see her, fully clothed. It is beneficial to have a useless good looking female character - purely for commercial reasons.
Personally, I would rather that they had War Machine instead of Black Widow as she is next to useless and War Machine (with an upgraded suit), would be immense. Though perhaps having Iron Man, War Machine, Thor and Hulk all on one team would be too easy for the Avengers.
