my current set up is amd athlon 64x2 5000+ , 2gig ddr2 , AB1S-RS690MKM motherboard,windows vista ult, also have Geforce6100pm-m2 motherboard but dont know if thats any good or better than the AB1S-RS690MKM ? help am not clued up on this Yet

If you open up the case, it'll tell you on the side of the PSU the make/model/power rating.
Case doesn't matter terribly what is it, just whether its ATX or microATX

Can you get a picture up of the inside of the case? does it take a ATX or MATX sized board?
There usually is a label on the PSU saying the make+model.
Do you have a SATA DVD drive?

For clarification it's the Power Supply Unit.
You need a new PSU then.
ATX/MATX is the form factor (size) of the motherboard.
Do you have a DVD drive? is it SATA also?

but you need to find out,
1) do you have a sata dvd drive?
2) what operating system do you have?
2) what resolution is your monitor, what inputs can it take?
