I posted about it last week here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18375781

Well I offered £112 k last week which was refused ( asking price £127 K ) the estate agent told me that if I was to up my offer by another 3K I'd probably get it, I did consider it but decided £112 K was all I wanted to pay for it and I'd hold on at the of risk loosing it, had a phone call yesterday from estate agent telling me they will accept my offer so I'm well pleased, I'm going to have a full structural survey done on it, as long as thats ok it's full ahead and there's no chain so result :).

My fiancee and I got our house 6 months ago, and its the best thing in the world to own your own.

I wish you all the best, make sure your computer gets its own room :D

Congratulations on the new house! good idea not to skimp on the survey a full structural hope it works out well for you :)

**Edit** +1 pc den essential :)

Congrats! I've just bought a house too, well on the way to completion now. It can be hard work but you'll get there in the end!

Are you a first time buyer? And if so are you aware of the stamp duty applying to first time buyers from the 24th March onwards?

Not to dampen your dreams, but a lot can happen before you exchange contracts :p

I hope it all goes well for you :)

Unless I am unaware of something major then it wouldn't affect him as the property isn't worth enough money.

well, you havent bought anything yet. just reserved it and that's loosely said. If another buyer comes with a better offer until you exchange contracts you could end up with nothing and a lot of fees to show for it.
