suzi, john, ortis sacked from gadget show

i cant believe they would get rid of of most of the crew i watched the gadget show and i liked it. I hate when people stick their noses in and ruin a perfectly good show
 
I'm sad that suzi and john are going but only because I remember when the gadget show was good, the recent episodes are dire.

In a way its gone like top gear, from a proper review show to a mess about entertainment show. But unlike top gear its ****.

I do like that last part.

Top Gear is pants half the time just as 5th Gear is for the majority. The only thing that I like about Top Gear is the production team, they do a great job. As for the presenters, well they're just as cringe worthy as they come (like the rest inc The Gadget Show).
 
Jason would have been the first to go if I was wielding the axe. I used to enjoy the show, the last while has been utter apple fanboi pap though.
 
I dont like this show but you know what was a good gadget show...the one where just that single presenter was on...ahh whats her name...Lisa??? She is such a fittie! .No...*NOT* the Gadget Shows Lisa...the other one...ill try and remember her full name.

The Gadget Show was never a particularly serious review show (although it tried to pretend to be one). But yes, It certainly began to copy the Top Gear formula.

The thing I always hated about both of them is that it's blatantly heavily scripted, yet tries (unsuccessfully) to pretend that the banter is spontaneous/unscripted. As a viewer I find this insulting (as if they are assuming the audience are idiots who won't realise it's all actually rehearsed/scripted).

I found the Gadget show achieved this formula a little better than top gear, but top gear has better writing (albeit barely).

I don't understand the hate for 5th gear, sure it's not the best car program ever, but it is actually the only car program on the box at the moment, because as you said Top Gear is an entertainment show.
 
The only good thing about 5th Gear for me is they actually review cars you might end up buying, unlike Top Gear, which is a supercar-fest.
