I'm looking for a 15inch or smaller screen, SSD and 560M or similar gfx card,
I can get the 15xps with everything appart from it has a 522M card for £1000 after all the discounts with all the upgrades, which seems like a good deal. But the DDR3 gfx card will annoy me, purely because I know its DDR3 and DDR5 ones are on the go.
Don't want to splash much more than a grand, oh and a decent battery for long flights.

Pretty pointless worrying about it being GDDR3 (not DDR3) rather than GDDR5 (not DDR5), given that on the mid-range cards you are looking at (not to mention most high-end cards), the GPU itself is the bottleneck, and not the RAM attached to it.

GDDR3 is more than capable enough to keep pace with a 525M, 540M or 560M.

Also, you might as well just get one from the Dell Outlet. My XPS 15z was less than £500.

The Samsung Series 7 Chronos look pretty good to me. I guess the graphics card isnt up to that spec but it seems adequate.

ur probarbly right...I might just wait till the xps15 has the 560gtx though

I have decided the spec

1900*1200 screen - You mean 1920x1080 right, 1920x1200 is rare in desktop screens these days, let alone laptops.

560gtx or better - Probably a good shout if you want to game, otherwise don't waste your time or money.

SSD - Add one, they aren't difficult to fit, and will most likely work out cheaper to buy separately.

Yes you are totally right.

Still cant seem to find the right laptop for me, budget up to £1200

That Samsung looks really good, just want a SSD, I have been building PC's for years(I have a water cooler i7 SLI 570gtx as my main rig) but never a laptop, I would be reticent to attack a brand new £1200 laptop due to warranty etc.
