BenQ XL2420T Now available

Works fine for me Jimlad, I don't think a monitor could affect this in anyway so most likely it's just a coincidence.

I would try clearing your browser cache. In Firefox this would be at: Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage > Clear Now. The cache is made up of pictures etc your web browser saves from frequently visited websites to make page loading faster next time you visit, most likely one of those files got corrupted or something.

or press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL :)

Well, I've spent two evenings getting used to this monitor and it was definitely worth the money. Bf3 and shogun 2 look amazingly smooth, and older games such as L4D2 have a richness and detail about them. Highly recommended. :)

Anyone tried the 3D? What's the 3D performance like?

I got the XL2410T about a year ago and the 3D was probably its weakest feature. Far too much cross talk. If its a significant improvement I might be tempted to upgrade but can't find any reviews commenting on the 3D yet.

3D is absolutely brilliant on this monitor if you like 3D that is....i haven't noticed any crosstalk in about 10 or so games so far though i've not tested the 3D to a great deal yet will try it more this weekend if time allows.

Just Cause 2 was really nice in 3D and ran pretty well although i really want 2 Keplars for the extra vram which is extremely important for 3D i saw some benchmarks where vram for 3d is very beneficial.(i know for high res and AA on non 3D gaming it can be nice too for latest games however the benefit of it in 3D is way larger probably due to rendering two images and if both have like 8xmsaa or so too then you talking a lot used.)

Yeh I think 90% of people bought thgis monitor mainly for gaming, but I have heard the 3D is meant to be very good with 3D vision 2 lightboost, I havent seen a propper 3D review of it either, but have seen on forums people saying its better than their old 3D and very good

I just bought the 3D vision 2 kit for this monitor and been my first ever 3D experience since the old cardboard specs i have to say it is amazing, once my eyes adjusted to the different way of viewing games and video its well worth the outlay.

One word of warning though, make sure your pc can cope with the 3D as its pretty demanding, i run a EVGA GTX 570 SC and on skyrim i average around 45fps on maxed out settings in 3D.

I'm thinking of getting 3d vision 2 kit, I'm confused, are all the '3d vision 2' kits the same as I see some with a IR emitter (do i need that?) that cost about £30 more or do they all come with that and one site is just overcharging.

One will be the full kit including the IR Receiver. The cheaper kit will be just the glasses

Whats the reciever/emitter thing thats on the monitor itself? is that not the same thing (IR receiver) that comes with the Nvidia kit?

The XL2420TX has the emitter included with the monitor, but lucky us in the UK get stiffed again, and cannot buy one in the UK.

We have the XL2420T which comes without an emitter or glasses which you have to purchase separate from the monitor, i think OCUK have just had a bundle deal going if i am not mistaken where you can get the lot :)

The thing on the XL2420T monitor is just a green light to show when 3D mode is on or off.

Can someone point me in the direction of having 2 monitors setup up, one at 120hz 1080 and the other on 60hz and 1200. Looking at this monitor however I'd like to keep my 24" at 1920x 1200 for work.

Could one of you fine gentlemen tell me what cable (if any) comes with this monitor?

I was thinking of using the Displayport, but I'll need to buy the cable as well.

Cheers
