A brand new Audi S4, woo!

Been deliberating over an Audi A5/S4/Merc C350 for a few months now but finally signed on the dotted line today (business lease).

Ordered an S4 black edition with Adv key, heated seats, heated mirrors, audi drive select, reversing camera, tech pack high & tyre pressure loss indicators in brilliant black with a build slot in April.

Currently driving a Mazda CX-7 (the current diesel edition) so this will be a major step up in terms of refinement as well raw grunt. Test drove a non face lifted demonstrator today and I couldn't believe how quiet the engine was whilst giving it beans vs my CX7 at idle!

I cannot wait to take delivery :)

Good for you :)

Not really a fan of the new A4 as it's as dull as dishwater, but I do like the S4.
Shame you did black with black though :p

*shrug* :)

'tis the car I wanted, if I was that worried about the BIK I would have opted for the C350 @ 22% :)

Off the top of my head, I would pay what ever my pay tax rate is (e.g. 20% or 40%) off the BIK value which in this instance is 28% of the vehicle price.

For example, if my tax rate was 20% and the car was £40k I would pay £2240 /year when I do my tax return in January.

Fair enough. That doesn't seem to bad in the grand scheme of things, especially if you've got an S4 at the end of the day :)

Precisely, that's thanks to relatively low emissions from what, I at least, consider to be a performance car.

£2ish k a year plus personal mileage is much better than having to draw extra taxable income from my business to foot *all* costs personally :)

Although if it's your own business you'd also have the 15% disallowance on the lease cost and potentially 13.8% employers Class 1A NIC due on the BIK to factor in.

Indeed, that's for the accountant to worry about though :D

Good engine, Audi should have released this engine years ago to compete with BM's 30i and 35i units. Would love one in an A6 but they're still too pricing for me.
