is it possible to set up my hd box so that 101 103 104 105 etc are the HD channels and not the SD ones?

a while ago sky swaped loads of channels like the sports and movies to their HD equivalent but didnt change bbc itv ch5 etc.

can this be done?

Good shout I'd like to know this. How ever there is an issue with bbc1hd as not all is covered by hd, so you would still need bbc1sd.

The channel numbers are set by Ofcom i belive so cant be changed ...would be nice if you could though.

You can always go in to TV Guide and then choose HD Channels to jump straight to the HD versions

i do this normally but if i know something is on one i jump to 101 then realise i want the hd channel and dont no the hd number so do a frantic skiping through the channels to try and find it before i miss any more of the show

For BBC1 at least I assume that this is because there are many regional variants of BBC1 SD but only one HD channel, so they couldn't put the HD version on 101 as everyone would lose the regional programming.

I have them as favourites on my harmony remote so can easily push one button for them

With my dreambox, I did this with a few clicks. Sky and dreamboxes are the equivalent to Ios and Android
