No, Sony owe you that. The reason why it was offline for so long was because the security was so poor, and LulzSec highlighted the major issues that Sony could no longer ignore.

That's pretty much my point. Sony left their documents with personal information on the window ledge, they were negligent.

I made a thread last year about how clueless Sony are.

I take it from most of the people posting here that they are happy about this? Now I am not really up on all this and know zero about computers, but were they not highlighting the various weakpoints of high end companies and also hacking corrupt companies... did they not stand for the 99% and all that. I cant say I am learned enough on the matter to make an opinion, I just wondered.
Surely hacking Sony was a good thing? Now security is tighter?

Regardless, they broke the law and its good to see the police taking action (even if I agree with the statements they made)
