Dont think they did - actually dont know why I like it myself, would be better with further time acceleration, just reminds me of play flow back when it was a flash game - just lures me in for hours...

Bought this tonight, took 4 bloody hours to download even though it's only around 560meg, damn slow connection.

Anyway basically yeah, really enjoyed, the graphics are sumptious, the gameplay fluid. Rather short at around 2 hours. Very calming experience and it definitely get me emotionally attached, when i could see the light at the end of my journey so to speak i was overcome ha!

Not sure if i liked knowing who was on my journey with me (It tells you after the game is completed at the very end of credits) think i liked it better not knowing.

£9.99 is a little much IMO but definitely worth it.
 
Got this and completed it tonight, liked it a lot. Graphics and atmospheric effects are ace and quite enjoyed having randoms playing along
 
Just finished a playthrough of this game. I really enjoyed it.

I will say that £9.99 is a bit to much if you think of the game in a content to price kind of way but as a one off experience i think you can turn a blind eye.

Such a bizzare but totally immerive game. The range of environments looked stunning. The game also really benefits from the almost silent approach to the audio, the background music and rare sound effect really set the scene for the desolate world you journey through.

I also really enjoyed hooking up with other players, it brought a very real sense of companionship to the experience especially as you watch your two characters struggele through some of the environments.

I jumped when the first of those monsters appeared in the ruins or whatever they were. I was having such a calm experience and then out it pops.

I also really enjoyed the part near the end on the mountain where you had to dodge the monsters searchlights by dashing under cover. I was with another player at the time and i think we both must have been thinking the same thing when we were hiding. Is it safe? Can we move? You go first... :p

The final glide to the light at the top of the mountain was stunning with the water and scenery i thought, a great way to end the journey.

I really enjoyed the experience overall.

If i meet a person/persons in the future that believe that games aren't capable of being art then i'll definitely point them towards Journey to prove them wrong.

The videogames industry needs more titles like this imo that push the boundaries of what the medium is capable of.
 
Just finished this. It was one of the most amazing gaming experiences I've had. Playing it with someone was magical.

Shame it ended in like 90 minutes.

At the end with the water falls I got to the top first but my friend didn't make it with me. I waited at the top for him, he didn't show. I generaly felt sad that he was no where to be found after what we had been through. I waited like a dog waits for his owner. Eventaully he shows up and I was so happy to see my friend again. We danced about with happiness to see each other again. Was wonderful.

Mind when you are finished -

If you collect all the scarf peices in all the levels you unlock the white robe which recharges when you walk, makes a 2nd playthrough fun to.
You can jump to the levels you missed them in, you dont need to get them all in 1 run through.

I just played this for the first time, and wow. Staggeringly beautiful, and a joy to play. I met a fellow journeyer a short way in, and although I wasn't able to communicate with him beyond musical notes, I really wanted to. He actually waited for me to catch up with him, and I waited for him. At the end, I didn't realise I could just fly to the top of the waterfall - it took me a while to get up there and I assumed my companion had moved on. But no, he was waiting for me, and we walked into the light together. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. I wonder if this was his first playthrough too.

The visuals are breathtaking, the soundtrack fits perfectly, and the gameplay is actually a lot of fun. Especially those bits where you're skidding down a hill at high speed, and launching off ramps.

really wish i'd picked this up in the PSN sale, think i was put off because its apparently very short. but still, it seems everyone who plays it loves it.

You can tell by his rings I think (and cloak colour)
