Do the tutorial with Dan, it helped me understand a bit more

Didn't we have the same situation with Mortal Kombat (or possibly MVC) if my memory serves me right. I think Amazon just don't like you!? :)
 
Would've been UMvC3 because I preordered MK9 from GAME. UMvC3 arrived on time though if I recall correctly, I tried their customer service chat there.. what a waste of time that was =) I don't wanna bombard this thread with my whinging so send me a trust message if yours arrives.
 
Just had a few games with Ravl585. Not sure what to make of this game just yet, I need to give it more time. What do you guys who have played this think?

Just done all but the last trial for Ryu. His SPS into cr.lp seems to be his toughest link so struggling with that but then my execution sucks. Moving onto Heihachi next as I think I will use him as my first partner.

You should run through the tutorial mode to understand the games mechanics.
 
It's definitely a very aggressive game with all the things I hate removed so I love it!

Turtles from sfiv or those who have only played sfiv are really going to struggle to adapt. Adz, you should do well in the long run though as your mix up and randomness will pay off in this if you learn your 600 damage ryu combos.

Best bit of advice is to play a whole new character and preferably a tekken one to start.

Raven/Heihachi is my team, although I put rolento/ogre in there quite often.

I've only been in training and trial modes so far with Ryu so too early for me to say anything really. Links for the most part feel far more forgiving vs SF4 and the combos are fun and hard hitting.

Ryu as a characters feels solid. I'm interested to see how I can utilise cancelling his hadouken to create mix ups.
 
My randomness did the job today in whooping Ruben 3-1 lol, but yeah I need to go through the tutorial. Will get some time on Friday to play some more.

The sound issue is really bad at the moment, really puts you off your game :(
 
I have to say I am disappointed with the online play. The sound issue is awful and really off putting. If they can sort that out then that would improve things hugely.

What I like is that game rewards attacking unlike turtle fighter 4. Fix the sound issue and this will be a great game.

Thats a known bug. Im on the fence about this game, seems like a cut down vesion of SF4. Doing the launcher combos is really the only option to get high damamge output, it gets broing and repetitive.

Its defo an offensive game, played 8 online ranked games won them all with just my Abel lol. Used Sagat/Rolento as my other but only tagged them in after doing a luncher with Abel. I'll be on again tonight though, its fedo better than MvC3 for me (which I played for 30 mins and now sits in a drawer).

You need to explore the use of moves with wallbounce or ground bounce properties as well as switch cancels to make the most out of extending combos, not cross rush string.
 
I would but Abel has a charge move now :( his shoulder dash (like focus attack in AE) is the only wall bounce move he has which I cant combo into just yet.
