Hi all.

I recently purchased a new PC, unfortunately I bought a pcie2.0 motherboard, and looking at the back of my graphic card it sasy it's pcie3.0

Will I need to RMA or will it be ok?

Are there any disadvantages to using a pcie2 mobo with a 3.0 GFX?

Thank you.

You probably wouldn't notice the difference as I think that PCIe 2.0 bandwidth isn't maxed. And anyway you'll need an Ivybridge CPU to get PCIe 3.0 anyway

there are no gfx cards that i know of on the market that saturate pcie2 - your card is pcie3 compatible - that is all - so it will work perfectly with your board

(and how would an RMA help? :p)
