Yeah some Americans do have some sense, good on him. :p

on topic, it was a good watch. if we had shows like this throughout the war people would be more informed instead of thinking they know it all, just a shame that they only done a few episodes.

Exactly less woo yeah we roll in with b52's etc etc that's the easy bit.
When these guys go in looking to be a target ,that's the real war and sadly people don't normally see it.

Hopefully this show has paved the way for more like it. Certainly shown the marines in a very good light IMO

Finished watching this last night and loved every minute of it.
The last episode was particularly good and showed another side to the marines.

Why the hell more examples of the superb work being done by our guys out there isn't readily in the public domain is beyond me.

I watched the first few. It's a horrible feeling seeing the guys and then the screen freezes... you just know something bad happened. Vicey, the guy with the dog. Awful.

I had no idea what the soldiers in Afghanistan have to endure and as others have said, this program was enlightening and there should be more stuff like this. It would certainly get even more support for our guys and gals who are over there.

Very good doc series, channel 5 are certainly gaming themselfs up these days. Really a tense series and felt sometimes like you were on the ground with them, and it certainly made me want to join.

Really sad in some places, especially when you get to know them on the ground through the series and and then lose their lives, or get injured throughout.

I don't belive in the war. But these guys to a brilliant job and yes I have respect all the way for them. In helping civilians and ridding the stupid pests called Taliban

I know a few of the chaps serving with 42 commando, and it's very sad to cycle past there sometimes and see all the flowers out the front. Was in tears reading some of the messages out the front of the barracks.

Just glad everytime they come back from tour.

Just seen the youtube link. Fab. Day off work, I know what I'm doing today :-D

oh bugger, didn't actually realise it was 42 in the video. oh this is gonna be a hard watch :*-(

(It's youtube but keeps freezes, and have to restart, very annoying). This is very frustrating to watch and completely ruining the viewing. I just watched 7 flora adverts in a row as well... How can google screw this up so badly?

Just glad this is something actually worth watching meaning I will persist with it, just wish there was an offline viewer?

OK.. it's now 17:35. I have now spent about 2.5 hours trying to watch episode 2. The adverts stream just fine (oh joy), but the content is freezing all the time meaning a restart.. meaning 9 adverts to watch.. 5 seconds in.. freezing.. ARRGHHH!

EDIT: OK.. all my whinging led me the CH5 website. Better quality and no damn freezing: http://www.channel5.com/shows/royal-marines-mission-afghanistan/episodes
