As per the title. I'm looking for a decent digital multimeter, preferably under £40. has anyone got any recommendations / what do you use?

Thank you in advance.

Yes, flukes are overpriced imo. the rapid 328 looks alright at a glance so thanks for that. Any problems encountered with it? Ever pointed it to the opposite range by accident - the point dosen't look very clear thats all.

No never had any problems, its very simple to use and having it on the wrong setting wont do any damage.

It comes with all the accessories you could want including a temperature probe.

Just checking as i the partners father tested for mains voltage over a capacitance range and it popped - LOL.

ah, not a good thing to do. Should never put anything into mains without checking it first.

That said the worst that would happen is you could blow the fuse.

I have some Uni-T multimeter I got for £15 and when I inserted it into the mains set to DC, no damage was done. Therefore I'd recommend them.
