Tesco Petrol prices in you area pls help

I was at the till the other day and the girl forgot to ask me for my clubcard before the transaction so no points were added to my card.

She gave me the receipt and I said can you now add my points. She said she couldn't.

I politely asked for the supervisor who gladly added my points there and then.

See I f someone doesn't know then you get to somebody who does.

You should read the Tesco Clubcard terms and conditions.

16.Members must present their Clubcard card or key fob at the checkout in order to collect points for a transaction in store. Members who forget to do this may have their points added manually up to 14 days after the transaction upon production of a valid receipt, providing the receipt belongs to the claiming member and is based on their personal spend. Points may only be claimed for up to two receipts per day.

It's up to you to present your Clubcard.

There's no onus on the staff to ask you for it, they do so as a courtesy.

You forgot to present your card.

The mistake was yours, not the person on the checkout.

Were you stocking up on bananas?

I hear you've taken a liking to them ;)

Entering in clubcard points from a receipt cannot be done by a normal till operator. So it's not a case of the cashier being ignorant, it's a case of them not having the access to do it.

And you sound like a nightmare of a customer.

I never said it was her fault

If you had read my post correctly she said she couldn't add the points using the receipt.

This was clearly wrong.

actually she probably got in a lot of trouble as they are supposed to ask for the card before the transaction - its in their training.
She would have got a verbal warning for it depending upon the store. Always better to go customer service as that way the checkout operator doesnt get in trouble - they have a hard enough life as it is.

It's not "price fixing". I think you need to do a little bit more research before you start writing to any CEOs.
