(Claim is for whiplash and lower back injury)
Do you actually have whiplash?
No, I mean the fees after I win are £910, would rather fill the claim myself if possible.
Come now, you don't have to lie to us.
So how fast was the car that hit you going? 2, 3 mph? Can't of been 4 surely, nothing would have survived, not even bacteria.
Ok so seriously, have you not considered one of the "No Win, No Fee" cowboys? I mean they love whiplash cases.
Out of interest, did you treat your whiplash and lower back injury yourself, or did you go to a medically qualified practitioner?
So? The fees are paid for by the defence, not you. You shouldn't care less whether the fees are £10 or £1000.

I would rather an extra £1000 personally.
I went to A and E, they give me the standard info on whiplash, telling me to take it easy and it may get worse before it starts to loosen up etc.
The back injury got worse, during the weeks after.
I could get further details from my GP, if I need to.

Did you even read my post? The prosecution fees are paid for by the defence. This is completely irrelevant and separate to your compensation.
Eh, are you sure about that?
The chances of this actually reaching court are essentially zero and the only person to award costs are judges. I'd be shocked if a claim form was even issued for something like this unless there was something particuarly complicated about it (no win no fee isn't even permitted in litigation).
What will be offered will be settlement that is quite doubtful to take into account solicitor's fees so what will be payed is essentially coming out of the client's (the OP's pocket). Even if things go to court, getting back 70% of fees would be an exceptionally good result!
Hence it's a fair enough concern![]()
