FS9 PC - on a budget!

I went for an i3 2120 with GTX550ti graphics card, hopefully it will run ok. I'll post back once everything is loaded and set up again.
Thanks for your help.

Yeah it should perform well. I would have been tempted to stretch just a little more and get a 1GB GTX460 which can be had for around £100 though.

Not much between the two I don't think bud. Interesting that people have been suggesting nvidia.

I would have opted for AMDs 6850, much easier to run 3 screens (with TrackIR would have been a nice addition too). Nvidia can do it too in SLI (no way the OP bought a SLI mobo on that budget though) but the sim doesnt use Xfire/SLI so that's a lot of wasted grunt from the additional nvidia GPU just to run extra screens.

I have the evga 460 GTX SC (OC'd to 900mhz) in my HTPC. It's VRAM is better than the F.T.W edition and can be core clocked to the same speed. It is a very good budget gaming GPU but it's price is too near the 6870 which is a better card and also has the eyefinity feature (3 screen gaming from 1 GPU).

The OP may never use more than one screen but it would be nice to know the option was atleast there as an upgrade to work towards, even if it was just 3 "low res" screens.....he does seem to be a semi serious sim user. I prefer the military sims from DCS

I hope the build is trouble free, any questions or problems he knows where to find us.
