Tesco Petrol prices in you area pls help

I think the mods should pee him right off and reduce his post count appropriately for the fail of using multi-quote after being told how to use it. He seems to average around 3 replies in quick succession so a reduction to circa 7,500 posts seems fair :p

Edit: OP - please post a copy of the actual letter you are sending, just for funsies :D

Its not a laughing matter and I remembered to use it :)

Tesco Extra Watford: 137.9

For diesel?

But why would they not care about the co-op?

I had to come into the thread at this point....

WHY THE **** SHOULD TESCO CARE ABOUT THE CO OP?!?!

Its all fair in love and war in business. Dog eat dog etc.

A massive company like the co op is hardly 'part of the community' either is it? So they aren't really 'bleeding the community dry'. People shop where they want to shop. If Tesco is cheaper, they will shop there, if not they wont.

Honestly this is just a bit crazy.

So why do they care, as suggested, not to put the total garage out of business? Why not undercut the Total and put them out of business?

What's the difference?

The co-op is a cooperative owned by the people not share holders.

When the people shop at Tesco, they buy fuel on the way out. That's why they don't have to charge less.

As for the co op, that might be a shame, but as said, alls fair is love and war.

Are people actually losing out by the Tesco being there?
If not I personally think your being a bit NIMBY about having a Tesco in your area.

Why don't you answer my question, easyrider?

You claim that the problem lies in the planning application for Tesco. You claim that Tesco claimed it would be of benefit to the community.
Explain, how the addition of another petrol station and associated shop which likely employs people from the local community, exactly how that isn't of benefit?

Answer my question about the Total please?

You come bouncing in here with what? A non arguement :p

Now about the Total...what were you saying??

Because many people will lose their jobs and the Co-op when it closes and local business will be affected.

For what? nothing.

I really struu=ggle to get what you dont TBH

But, if the Tesco petrol was a lot cheaper then it would be OK that those lost their jobs?

Your last line hardly makes any sense.

Im pretty sure me mentioning people buying fual as they leave tesco is covering the total thing? why should they care about total? They don't owe total anything. Business is business.

Me having a non argument? no no, me (and everyone else in this thread) just have common sense.

You seem to be the one with a non argument.

People don't like being lied to.

Then why not undercut them?

When have you been lied to, and it's not a case of why shouldn't they undercut... they are a business so as such it makes sense to charge as much as they can without losing customers. It's not like they don't think these things through you know :p

I think the question you need to ask yourself easyrider. If you owned a business. Why WOULD you undercut other competitors if you were doing fine with the same price as them?

Easyriders business logic = none.
