I have PC upstairs and a PS3 downstairs connected to Projector.

These are connected via ethernet plugs. I use ps3 media server and this works perfect for streaming all my stuff.

Was wondering (if possible) how i could clone whats on my PC straight to my Projector for gaming.

In a ideal world id like to play my PC games downstairs on my projector from time to time.

I dont think its possible as Its a good 30ft away. Is there any hardware combination out there that i could use? Somthign for video and somthing for controls?

Personally I'd get a long HDMI cable and drill through but seeing as you can't do that how about one of those HDMI to CAT cable boxes? You need CAT6 cable for 1080p but it does work apparently.

I suppose you could use USB repeaters (max USB cable length is just 5M), or USB over Cat5e to get a USB extension downstairs so that you can plug in your controls. I've used one of these to have a bog standard printer over 10 Metres away from the PC that operates it.

30ft for a twin Cat5e/Cat6 HDMI extender should be no trouble at 1080p, even with Cat5e.

Also 30 ft is only about 10 Metres so a straight HDMI cable such as a OcUK Value one for £10 or less will also send a 1080p@60Hz signal. If it has sparklies you can use a cheap HDMI repeater to boost it near the projector. I have a 45 foot run from my PC to my HDTV and that works without repeating.

edit how do i put the window on here

Just bung the video link in
Interesting video though. I ran HDMI to have Sky HD in another room and the cable total length is 33 Metres with switches and repeaters. Still it's a faultless picture unlike this compressed video this WHDI thing does.
