How many balloons would you need to actually float?

Just watched the freeview advert, and thought about up, and presumed whether it was actually possible... I'm going on helium balloons, but obviously it would be easier with hydrogen....

Don't know about a person, but pixar calculated how many it would need for a house for the movie "UP". it was shuch a huge number so they just decided on using 9,000 (i think, was on some pixar show)

It's on the Up commentary, in the film they used just over 10,000 balloons to lift the house. They calculated that in real life you would need 26.5 million.
