I know, I know!

I've heard all the horror stories about women and cars, but I'm actually experiencing this first hand.

She wants something relatively new (budget no more than €10k, but given I'm not in the UK, mostly irrelevant).
She wants something cheap to run but "sporty looking".

I've suggested a Fiat 500 1.4i, VW Polo and the Suzuki Swift.
So far, she's found:

A 1996 Z3 1.9 (116bhp!)
A 2001 VW Beetle
A 2.3 Pug 407 Coupe

I'm struggling for suggestions, so just shout out some random small cars that women like.
She said no to the MINI as well.

Thank you!

Alfa 147? Admittedly, needs more wear-and-tear work than average, but pretty nice cars.
If there's a Z3 suggestion then surely MX5 is the sensible alternative?

Just offer to help her find the best of what she wants

If you cajole her into something else when it goes wrong it'll be your fault even a puncture

Yea, this thread is going nowhere. She has no idea what she wants and none of us even know who she is so all we can do is shout out random car names. Great.

Just walk around a large garage until she finds a colour that she likes, what the car actually is, engine size etc won't mean / matter **** to her most likely.

Thats how my ex found her 2.5V6 Mondeo! :p:D

Fiat 500 maybe? Women seem to dig those. Actually, I quite like the arbath version myself for some reason :o
She said no to the 500, hence me coming here!

That's effectively what I want ;)
I'm struggling for ideas.

Don't think so :(
But her budget will only stretch to a previous-gen one.
Unless she gets something with the power output of a hairdryer.

i don't think she will mind the power output.. as long as it looks good to her :o

<Unhelpful mode>

She'll want one of these:

(Note, a cute red car).

Sport KA. Sporty (well, no it's not...), feminine, convertible option and cheap-ish.

Ill second that !

I thought Ford Puma, but they stopped in 2002 apparently. hmmmm so the ka sports a good bet.

The swifts a no then ?

Did someone suggest a mini? age /price may be an issue, though you can get mini ones a bit cheaper.
