Just ordered this and will be upgrading from a viewsonic vx2268wm 120hz 22inch.

Will let you know how they are side by side as I plan to run my first dual monitor setup!

1680 x 1050 > 1920 x 1080 should be nice!

what settings do i need to change as i cant see the difference between this benq i just setup and the 80 quid 1080p philips screen i was using.

Had a quick play with mine last week, now I'm back at Uni and pining for it : (. Fantastic screen, great image quality. No buyer's remorse either.

Quick question:

How do I set up this monitor and my old 20", to run side by side but independently if that makes sense?

So I've got the web on one and a game on the other? when I've tried previously with the TV, all i've been able to do drag say a movie over from my monitor to the TV and watch it on that,

Cheers.

I recently started getting a vertical blue line down the left-hand side of my 2233rz which I'm guessing isn't good (any idea's on what it could be?)

I'm thinking of getting one of these to replace it, little concerned the jump from 1680x1050 to 1920x1080 might tax my system a bit though? Also it's a pain that the price seems to have jumped up from £259 in some places to £299 overnight

blue vertical line does not sound good, have you tried applying pressure around that area? does it go or get bigger?

as for taxing the system i doubt it would make any difference

Your 480 will enjoy the resolution jump and handle it fine, as its still a good card, that and the prices are pretty good on the 480, that you could go SLI. ;)

If you do enjoy gaming, then this monitor is a great buy and judging from the people here, not many have had faults or any defects with it.

I've found that if I gently tap the back of the screen it goes away for a second then it comes back, same thing if I 'massage' the spot on the panel very softly it flickers - sometimes it won't happen for a whole day or two, then it'll come up 6/7 times a night.

I'm going to try a different power cable etc later but I've pretty much got my heart set on the Benq after reading what people have had to say about it so far - just need to get my wallet set on it too :p

That's good then thanks, SLI has been on my radar for a little while given the prices these cards go for now - will see how I get on when the new screen arrives I think :)

I just got this monitor along with the 3D glasses. The 3D is more impressive than i thought it would be, best i can describe the feeling is the game UI feels like its printed on a sheet of glass and everything else in game is like looking through it.

So far i dislike not being able to disable 3D on the monitor, just means i have to manually enable and disable from the nV CP. If you leave it enabled the 3D profile is enabled constantly even though you disable the effect :/

Unless im missing something?

aww im on a 570gtx as well :'(

Hey I am going to set this up tomorrow, how do I get both monitors running so I can play games on 1 while the other has internet/irc on?

Edit - can someone also list the settings for this monitor please!

right click on the desktop and click screen resolution > advanced settings>monitor and choose 120hz for this one.

as for adding two, just plug the 2nd one in and again do above and choose your main monitor,
