Tesco Petrol prices in you area pls help

I'm feeling pretty sorry for you now to be honest. I hope a mod comes and locks this as you're just digging yourself into an extremely embarrassing hole.

You can always tell the quality of a thread by the proportion of posts by the OP versus that of everyone else. I call it the Attention Whore Coefficient.

In other news, I've found reaction footage of every single poster in this thread :

People moan when someone posts up a topic and then don't post follow up comments or debate the issue.

Now your complaining about too many replies.

Please, enlighten us on what are the acceptable levels of response ratio for this forum.

Asda have a national fixed fuel price.

Because it suits Asdas marketing approach. Asda market the entire brand based on price and value and pretty much only price and value. As a result being perceived to be 'on the side of the Motorist' is beneficial to this approach - as you can see by the flurry of 'helping the motorist' press releases you often get pointing out exactly this.

Tesco positions themselves in a different area of the market - less about outright price and more about quality and choice. Whilst obviously price is an issue it isnt in the same way it is for Asda. Therefore Tesco see no need to have a national fuel price and are therefore content to simply ensure prices are inline with local competitors.

It really isn't difficult to understand.

So think before you post ;)

I think we all wish you would.

As a matter of interest, I also dislike the Tesco filling station pricing policy. Thats right - I dislike it. But this doesn't mean I don't understand why it exists. I simply respond in the most effective way possible as a consumer - I don't buy fuel from filling stations I don't perceive offer me value unless I have no choice. There is no more effective response in a market like this.

Whinging and crying online as if its all some sort of massive injustice and they 'owe' you cheaper fuel is just pathetic. Fill up somewhere else.

Kept Tesco from raising theirs.

They now know they are being monitored by the community. Not only me but hundreds of others have complained.

This is just the start.

I want price mirroring with the tesco stores 10 miles away. I can smell it:)

You really are away with the fairies aren't you? Come back when you have successfully opened a dialogue with a decision maker at Tesco.

Until that happens, I'm out.

You're my hero!

Thanks:D

I'm not whinging and crying online.I'm taking action. I have written a letter demanding answers. Took 5 minutes of my time. What is your beef exactly?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but as long as people keeping buying fuel at the price that Tesco sets they won't change it.

Demanding what answers? Please, give us a copy of the text of the letter. I cannot believe you're still going on about this insane non-existant issue.

Is there some kind of mental health helpline we can call? I'm worrried for him.

Im worried you actually might be genuine here and you think there is nothing wrong with what your doing. As above i hope for this thread to be locked before this goes too far

There's nothing wrong with what he's doing. He just doesn't understand simple buisness models, has totally misunderstood the reasoning for the granting of planning permission, has no idea of definitions of words that he's using, and is under the misguided illusion that Tesco owes him something.

This is no different than complaining about the rise in my Car insurance policy with tesco.

They altered the price by £200 just by one simple phone call.

Now I'm not for minute under any illusion that this letter will change anything.

But I see no harm in writing to complain.

Fact is...Not enough people complain. They feel they won't be heard.

Well If i'm not heard then I have lost nothing. You lot are getting more irate

than me about this issue.

This changes everything. At first, you seemed to believe that your mission would succeed in securing changes to satisfy what you [wrongly] thought was Tescos initial promises. However, now you accept you're just moaning for the sake of moaning.

I often complain, to the annoyance of many around me. But I do so when I've been wronged, or not been given something which I've paid for. I don't moan just for the sake of moaning.

I also agree with Fox (after I looked up what carriage returns are), you have strange structure to your post.

I'd given you the benefit of the doubt until now, but it's clear now that you're either insane or trolling very very hard.

No. Just no. There's nothing to complain about.

I believe there is.

I wouldn't complain about a late parcel. You did.

Each to their own. Everyone is on their own jouney.

I wouldn't knock anyone for complaining. If they genuinely felt the need to do so.
