Tesco Petrol prices in you area pls help

People did just fine without the tesco,

The co-op ticked a way nicely. The local baker and Butcher were ticking away nicely.

The total was just there over charging for its fuel,

Now we have nothing...We have a Tesco, the same priced fuel and the butcher the baker and the candlestick maker along with the co-op and many other local business shutting shop.

Tesco is like a huge Boil on the community.

:(

So hold up. Tesco stated that they would bring competitive/supermarket petrol prices to the area and this swung it for you being happy they were allowed to build?

You were fine with Tesco coming in and destroying the community and closing all the local shops as long as they sold petrol at the same price as the Tesco shop 10 miles away?

Wow... Just, wow!

Who offer a service no one is required to use.

Just checked on petrolprices.com and it seems that the Total as from 11 march is 1.45.9 and the tesco has stayed at 1.44.9

Not ideal. But a step in the right direction.

Maybe my letter worked? Time to apply more heat!!!!!! :D

Hang on you posted this thread on the 10th, just before midnight, when did you post the letter?

After reading what i can only describe as the most pointless "Lets post in GD For attention on points i dont have" thread ever and seeing the best triple and even quintuple post ever i wish for
240px-BANHAMMER.png

Or a huge post count reduction??

EDIT: For your info heres my local prices

ASDA: 134.9
TESCO: 135.9
SHELL: 136.9
MURCO: 142.9 - Bunch of **** scamming card cloning ******* :/

On petrol that being as i drive a petrol and don't care much about other prices
( diesel is about 5-7p more on each last time i checked )

They mentioned competitive pricing IIRC my neighbour went

Having the same price as Total is not competitive is it?

Its the same isn't it?

thats competitive... as in being in competition with opposition . which they are.

you say tesco is a 'boil' well why do people go ?

Is my local Sainsburys the cheapest at 132.9 at the moment then?

(That's the price to humans as well as snakes btw).

I thought you were on the ball Easy, having second thoughts now! :p

...in all honesty i feel for you, if you do travel that amount, then it is a fair bit more money to hike out to the greed swindling companies that take the absolute pie out of everyone. It's the world we live in unfortunately.

easyrider - If you do so many miles why haven't you converted to LPG?

If you do that you might save yourself the worry of the conspiracy theories?

I dislike the way tesco price they fuel.
Stockton tesco, very large store with diesel at 139.9 (last time i was there)
But Redcar, with a Morrison's and a local Total was at 145.9...
Why so much of a difference when the products inside the store do not differ so wildly

Why does anything cost more anywhere else? Cars, houses, food, EVERYTHING!

It's because people are willing to pay more. Simple as that.

Its all about the petrol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course it is

Now you're living in cloud cuckoo land:

And that's how you use multi-quote ;)

Your letter to Tesco made Total raise their fuel price?

Your concept on how things work is amazing.

Your letter to Tesco made Total raise their fuel price?

Kept Tesco from raising theirs.

They now know they are being monitored by the community. Not only me but hundreds of others have complained.

This is just the start.

I want price mirroring with the tesco stores 10 miles away. I can smell it:)

It's because people are willing to pay more. Simple as that.

Teachers for example earn more down south than they do in the North.

Same job but they get a south/london allowance.

Making it relative.

Asda have a national fixed fuel price.

So think before you post ;)

You've still not got the hang of multi-quote then?

Sorry to interrupt your flow as you were on a roll with 3 posts in a row.
