They have already admitted mistakes - one of them being charging my card a second time without my consent - SURELY NOT LEGAL???

This makes people understandably sceptical and sadly this means 25% of the time they are un-neccesarily sceptical when the OP is being totally truthful.
I've never been to a hotel where there are bouncers. Is it really that bad in Liverpool (no offense to anyone from Liverpool!)
Yes I had never experienced this before until I stayed here. It was really intimidating and off putting. There would have been no way for me to bring a girl back to my room.

It doesn't matter if there was no reason! They are well within their legal right to chuck a guest at any time for any reason.
Because of course, had there not been bouncers, you'd of definitely brought (I wonder if in this case, it should had be "bought") a girl back to your room.![]()
Haha well no I actually worded it wrong. I mean if someone pulled and wanted to take a girl back, how would they do it?
I personally don't see it being any business of the bouncers who you bring back to your room. If you pay per room, per night, it's none of their business who you have in your room. Especially if it's a double.
I guess if it's per person, per night, it's a different story.
Well they interrogated absolutely everyone who attempted to get back in to the hotel, they were about 8 big bouncers with shaved heads and yobbish behaviour. They had a guest list and made everybody account for themselves. I was flabbergasted.

Same rights yes, not same privelages.
We have access to any room in the hotel if we deem it necessary to enter.
As I've stated multiple times in this thread already, there is no legal requirement for "evidence/proof". If a hotel wants to get rid of you in the middle of the night then it's completely their prerogative. The difference being that if they have no evidence/proof then they won't have a leg to stand on if the OP decided to sue them, which im surprised he isn't, I would.
So how would you handle the situation if you were to barge in on a perfectly innocent couple having sexy time?
Because if I were the victim in that case I would do everything possible to make sure you ended up on the sex offenders register for voyeurism.

Of course they wouldn't ever resort to this except in extreme circumstances.
Not sure what bizarre fantasys you're having here, but no room would ever be entered without a guests permission except where it was believed it was completely necessary. Medical reasons, H&S, potential violent incidents occurring etc etc.
UPDATE!
The hotel have apologised for the treatment i was given, and have accepted that the situation was not dealt with correctly and that lessons have been learnt from this fiasco.
I have now been fully refunded for my stay, as well as the money that they took without my consent.
