EVGA GeForce GTX 480 (£179.99)
or
EVGA GeForce GTX 560Ti "448 Edition" (£209.99)

Which is a better stop gap card in your opinion? I want to use it for a few months until the better keplers are out.

Also i dont have 450+ to wait and blow on whats comming out soon.

Simple really the cheapest. Put an aftermarket cooler on the 480 @ oc you get a 580. But you'll probably be over the price of the 560.

Op should get free shipping, making it around the same price as the ti, makes the 480 a no brainier really.

Thanks guys, can get free shipping, comes out at £208.98 with free shipping. Like the idea of the Gelid Icy, only 26 dBA max. :)

I was worried about the noise of the gfx 480 from what i have read, but looks like that will fix it.

As eyetrip said, Does the Gelid Icy use up 3 slots?

yeah 3 slots and ive seen tests and reviews where that gelid has gone way above the db stated above its also not the coolest from what ive seen

6870/6850 are also great bang for the buck and come in £95-£150

6850 gets you half the performance of a 7970 (according to TPU) for £95

The 480 is also great getting you 3/4 the performance of a 7970 for £185
