Finally got myself a nice little job working at the Tesco Call Centre as a Customer Service Manager after 6 months of searching for a job. All I can say is good riddance to constant financial difficulties. To those of you who want to call me just for an argument, please take it easy with me at first :p

The idea of having to work in a call centre alone drives me to do as much as I can in my current job :P

Congrats anyway.

Don't worry about that, we only want to talk to people that can speak clear english. :p

I used to work in a call centre and it is not the hell on earth people make it out to be, ok it is not particularly pleasant but if you get on well with the people you sit with the chat in the quiet patches can be quite fun. Just don't take it personally, they are angry at the company not you personally.

Well done, when you read so much about unemployment it is always nice to see someone getting a job and feeling positive about it!

What do you do fella?

ITQ assessor, worked in a call centre before and it drove me to the ground after a year or so. Your a manager though so it will be no where near as soul destroying as sitting on the phone all day being treat like a robot.

Try working in one for more than 4 years. If you've a single strip of a soul left, it'll only be the part that fosters pure hatred for the human race.

I'm hoping for a call back about a job at Tesco bank too. Had my 2nd interview and just waiting to hear now.

I'd be doing the admin/back office work in a call centre. No phones! :D

Congrats to you!
