New Warcraft Project - Alliance PVE Casual Guild

Let me just start by saying I have no interest in this 'project'.

However, this thread is an interesting read.

You're starting off a guild with a load of people who don't really know each other, and you're putting all manner of bizarre and strict enforcements on them. Why?

I know you (Voltage) think this will make it 'just like the old days' but it won't. Not at all.

Best of luck though anyway.

there are no limitations on what race or class you can be aslong as its not a DK

Moonglade is one of three or four other servers currently being investigated

because it makes it differnt from most other rerolls. Its boring to leg it to 85, im trying to build a community that really delves deeply into all areas of the game......including low level.

go look at a guild called Outdated Meme on armory......they had EVEN STRICTER rules and now have almost 200 members and an excellent community.

Guild name decided yet?

Yes...........but i dont know if it taken yet :p

Wont say what it is in until the guild invites go out as Tummy will probably nab it to be awkward (joke) :D

Well, best of luck then.

Give it a rest Tummy! Your coming across as a right tool out of all this arguing over every point and detail. There is nothing wrong with making suggestions to improve things and Voltage has often stated that he is happy and willing to take stuff on board and to adapt as things progress. You seem to be the only one with any major problems so far and I have yet to see anyone posting in support of your arguments. Its up to Voltage how he runs things if people don't like it then they wont sign up... I don't see a shortage of sign ups so most people are probably happy to go with the flow as things stand.

Based on your contribution so far the only advice I would give is don't join and do everyone a favour and stop posting in this thread.

Oh look.

I'd have thought setting the cap at level 30 was perfectly sensible to start off with.

The other rules are secondary, see how well the community evolves from that.

The obvious goal would be to raid at level 60 like it was, but it won't be like it was due to (as I've already said all this) the mechanics have changed far too much and the classes and races have too.

Again, if you're wanting to re create almost the Vanilla feel, why not have class / race combinations set as they were then?

Moonglade looks the best shout just on maturity of the server.

It's interesting how this thread has brought our some seriously spiteful people who want this to fail before it's started!!

The rules are fine IMO, I think that only grouping with guild mates might be another good addition to promote getting to know people and not just a having a name above your head.

*sigh*

No, but seeing as I'm active during the day I'd be happy to sign the charter.

1 month level caps at 60/70/80 :|

I know, It's why I mentioned having characters capped at the set levels; You could then just constantly do those raids and move on when everyone had achieved the gear and experience they wanted

1 month level caps at 60/70/80

How else are you meant to raid at those tiers?

Also take into account you need to get everyone who wants to raid that content through that content at least once.

I personally think one month for level 70/80 doing 2/3 nights a week wont be enough. I know Outdated Meme are doing two months at 70 and 80.

On a side note, i think we will get through 60 content faster than a month, and at that point we will move to Outland.

How long we stay at caps and tiers will be down to the guild, not me............we may do it faster........we may do it slower..........but the majority must be happy.

If this is aimed at me, what a strange thing to say.

Why would I want it to fail? I have no interest in it at all, just commenting from an outside perspective.

I know a lot of people who have tried to emulate this kind of thing and it isn't nearly as easy as it sounds.

You've already set your stool out at one month at level 60, it's why I felt your initial rules were harsh.

Would you be moving on from the raids when everyone has completed them as in experienced them, or are you open for grinding gear at level 60 ala Vanilla WoW?

your absolutely right, but as

http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/guild/auchindoun/Outdated Meme/

have shown, if the guild members want it badly enough, it will work.

im not a dictator, if people in the guild want to grind them, they are more than welcome to.

Robbo. Jeez man, it's worked for one Guild before and 200 members out of the 10 million + subscriptions, so of course a carbon copy of that would definitely work here.

Really?

You've set your rules and stall out as such by being unwilling to change or take my approach of adapt the Guild to the community.

You've got sign ups, why not get them to sign up Saturday afternoon and talk to them about how they want to do level caps and build a set of rules that suit everyone? I said this ages ago.

It's a large gamble based on the quality and mentality of the players you end up with. You seem fairly keen to enforce strict rules on people which will inevitably end up upsetting some people, and they'll leave, then so will other people.

Hence why I said, best of luck. :)

I know, silly me. :p

If you dont like the rules, simply stop posting in this thread.

It will be a result for everyone involved.

See, it's that dictatorship thing again.

Your unwillingness to change and cater the rules for the wants and needs of the community on here will be a massive problem.

I pointed this out at the very start too.

Tummy what the hell is your problem? People who have accepted these rules and signed have seen what the "rules" are and want a change compared to the norm of WoW. Stop trying to bring Voltage down, at least he is trying something different instead of whining like you.
